Last Sunday we went to Starved Rock in Oglesby – a total mental reset! 🌿🚶♀️🚶♂️ The trails, rock formations, and waterfalls looked like something out of a movie – we couldn’t take our eyes off them. French Canyon impressed us the most, and the sound of our laughter echoed far between the cliffs. There were a few stumbles and lots of laughs 😄 Nature completely pulled us in – just us, the trails, and the sound of the Illinois River. We took tons of photos, but none of them truly capture what we saw in person 📸 We came back tired, but with big smiles on our faces and a ton of great memories. If you haven’t been to Starved Rock yet – seriously, it’s time to change that! 🌲💚
Another week has passed. Another week on the Bookfield. Another week of calls, of courage, of choosing to grow—even when it was tough. And just like that… we’ve made it halfway through the summer ☀️.
It’s not that things got less crazy. It’s that we’ve gotten used to the crazy. Seeing goats 🐐 or chickens 🐔 as pets? Totally normal now. Meeting people from different cultures and countries? Feels like everyday life. It’s still wild, still unpredictable—but the difference is, we’ve chosen this chaos. And now, we thrive in it.
We’ve grown. A lot. Not always in the ways we expected. We didn’t always stick to our habits, and we didn’t always get the numbers we hoped for—but we kept going. We showed up. And that’s what makes us strong 💥.

Today’s meeting was online 💻, but still cozy and full of team spirit. Afterwards, some of us got together for lunch 🍽️—laughs, stories, and a reminder that this is more than just a job. It’s a family 💛.

✨Za nami kolejny intensywny tydzień. Tydzień, który przypomina nam, że jesteśmy już bliżej niż dalej końca naszej wspólnej drogi. Z każdym dniem czujemy, że dojrzewamy – zawodowo, relacyjnie i emocjonalnie. Staliśmy się profesjonalistami w tym, co robimy. Mimo że codzienne wyzwania nie znikają, uczymy się z nimi żyć i pracować ramię w ramię, nie tracąc z oczu naszego celu.
✨W tym tygodniu skupiliśmy się na siadaniu z jak największą liczbą rodzin, żeby pokazać im nasze książki. Mieliśmy okazję usiąść razem z innymi ludźmi i opowiedzieć im też swoją historię, ale także posłuchać ich historii. Bo przecież każda rodzina to coś więcej – to emocje, trud, małe i duże zwycięstwa.
Skupiliśmy się na budowaniu relacji – zaufania, zrozumienia, więzi. To właśnie one są fundamentem wszystkiego, co robimy. I choć nie zawsze jest łatwo, to wiemy, że warto. Te rozmowy, spotkania i wspólne chwile przypomniały nam, dlaczego zaczynaliśmy tę drogę i dla kogo to robimy.
✨Przed nami kolejne etapy, ale dziś możemy już z dumą powiedzieć, że jesteśmy silniejsi niż na początku. Nie tylko jako jednostki, ale jako zespół. Z każdym dniem, tygodniem i rozmową jesteśmy coraz bardziej świadomi tego, że koniec nie oznacza zamknięcia, ale otwarcie nowego rozdziału.

W tym tygodniu walczyliśmy drużynowo o największą ilość spotkań z rodzinami!💪 Podzieliliśmy się na 4 pary: Klaudia z Polą, Kasia z Karo, Maciek z Olem i Przemek z Agą a następnie dobraliśmy naszych sparing partnerów. Nagrodą dla wygranej drużyny był rzut bitą śmietaną w twarz drużynie przeciwnej. Zabawa była przednia dla obu stron.🍦 Tym oto sposobem w starciu Klaudia i Pola vs Kasia i Karo to druga drużyna otrzymała maseczkę odmładzającją🙈
W drugim starciu to właśnie Maciek i Olek mieli okazję zafundować Kowalikom kremowy strzał w twarz 🤡
Za nami połowa lata. Gołym okiem widać jak, nie tylko nasze łydki się rozwijają od codziennego pedałowania 🚴♀️🚴 ale przede wszystkim rozwój naszego nastawienia, dojrzałości i odporności. Każdego dnia stajemy się coraz lepsi i wytrwalsi. I tym akcentem wchodzimy w kolejny tydzień, który dedykujemy naszym tatom. Będzie dużo “dad jokes”, luzu i siły.
P.S. Agniecha i Pola przez dwa tygodnie zrobiły ponad 60 spotka
Czas naprawdę leci jak szalony. Wydaje się, jakby dopiero co zaczęliśmy tę podróż, a tymczasem… jesteśmy już w połowie! Sześć tygodni za nami. To doskonały moment, by na chwilę się zatrzymać, złapać oddech i spojrzeć wstecz na to, co udało się osiągnąć – ale też z nową energią ruszyć dalej.
Ostatni tydzień minął pod znakiem konsekwencji, lekkich kryzysów (bo jakże by inaczej!), ale też drobnych zwycięstw, które cieszą najbardziej. Każdy dzień przynosił nowe wyzwania, ale też budował poczucie, że to wszystko ma sens. Choć pojawiają się chwile zwątpienia, to właśnie one sprawiają, że każdy krok naprzód smakuje jeszcze lepiej.
Miniony tydzień był dedykowany naszym mamom, które są naszym największym wsparciem. To dzięki Nim robimy to co robimy i jesteśmy tu gdzie jesteśmy. Dziękujemy Wam za to, że nawet gdy sami wątpimy Wy nigdy nie przestajecie w nas wierzyć! Każdy z nas w tym tygodniu dał z siebie 110% z determinacją i myślą, że robi to dla swojej Mamy!❤️
Co zauważamy po tych sześciu tygodniach?
Zmiany – czasem widoczne gołym okiem, a czasem bardziej w środku. Lepsze samopoczucie, więcej energii, mocniejsze poczucie celu.
Nowe nawyki – te małe rytuały, które jeszcze niedawno były wyzwaniem, teraz stają się częścią codzienności.
Motywacja – może już nie ta wybuchowa z pierwszego tygodnia, ale za to dojrzalsza, spokojniejsza i bardziej odporna na kryzysy.
Najważniejsze jednak, że nie jesteśmy już tam, gdzie byliśmy na początku. A skoro dotarliśmy do połowy – to znaczy, że potrafimy dotrzeć do końca. I to z podniesioną głową.
Przed nami kolejny etap. Może trudniejszy, bo już nie działa efekt nowości, a zmęczenie czasem daje o sobie znać. Ale mamy już fundament – i to solidny. Teraz czas go wzmocnić.

It’s wild how quickly the BookField becomes our new normal. Things that might sound absolutely bizarre to anyone else — goats in the yard, random gifts, signs practically begging you not to knock — somehow feel like everyday life now. And honestly? We wouldn’t trade it for anything.
One of the big highlights of this week was playing our “Bigger & Better” game — if you’ve never heard of it, it’s a Southwestern classic. You start with something small (like a pen or snack) and at each house, you try to trade it for something bigger or better. It’s less about the stuff and more about the laughs, the people you meet, and how unexpectedly generous and fun strangers can be.
By the end of it, we had a pretty wild collection:
Aleksandra met a family who owned a goat 🐐 (no trade here, but worth the story alone — Kuba even thought it was a dog at first).
Kuba’s prize was a color protection foil, turning practical into playful.
Karolina ended up with a solar panel camping lamp 🔦 — perfect for future adventures.
Bohdan took home a sea shell 🐚, a tiny reminder of oceans far from Utah.
Alina got a humidifier and essential oils 🌿, making her HQ smell like a spa.
Margo walked away with a classic Stanley Cup 🥤, Utah icon status unlocked.
Martyna topped it off with a book 📖 and a massive water canister 💧, forever prepared.
We also had some extra recognition this week — a few of us earned new T-shirts 👕 as rewards for consistency and crushing personal goals. There’s nothing like wearing your progress on your sleeve (literally).

Alina had a fun surprise meeting a software engineer from CRUMBL COOKIES 🍪. As a gift, she walked away with a warm coat 🧥, just in time for those chilly evenings.
On top of that, we wrapped up the Sweepstakes Competition, and we’re proud to say our team was one of the seven top orgs with the most coupons, which means a well-earned $25 lunch for each of us 🍔🥗.

Tydzień dla naszych mam!! 🦸♀️ Cały tydzień dawaliśmy z siebie wszystko dla nich, tak jak one całe życie dla nas. Mamy też nasze turbo rodzeństwo czyli Aga i Przemek. Oni też zrobili swoje najlepsze tygodnie wbijając kolejno 300 i 400 unitów 🤙😊.

This past week was an intense one for our team of six – we met so many amazing families who truly value education and growth. It was so inspiring!
On Sunday, we hit pause and headed to a shooting range in Ottawa, IL. The place was well-organized, had a professional yet relaxed vibe – perfect for unwinding. For some of us, it was a first-time experience, but after a few shots, the nerves faded and the smiles kicked in 😊
Each of us came with a different mindset – some with passion, others out of curiosity, and some just to decompress. And it worked! Spending time together outside of work gave us exactly what we needed: clear minds, stronger bonds, and recharged batteries 💪

It’s hard to believe we’re already wrapping up Week 5 on the BookField. Every week brings its own surprises, but this one felt like it had a little bit of everything — unexpected animals, multi-language conversations, warm families, awkward door moments that turned sweet, and memories that make us pause and think “this is exactly why we’re here.”
Alina started the week thinking it would just be about the usual cute dogs and cats 🐶🐱 — but it quickly turned into her unofficial “animal week.” One day, she had a sit-down with a family who proudly showed off their pet snake 🐍 (not exactly what you expect when you open a living room door). But her real highlight was meeting Joe, a dad who had served a mission in Ukraine 🇺🇦, living in Sevastopol, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv. Their conversation effortlessly danced between English, Spanish, and Russian, sharing stories and laughs that felt like home on the other side of the world.
Martyna had her own slice of cultural magic when she met a family who was genuinely fascinated by Poland 🇵🇱. They kept asking questions, so curious and excited, that by the end of it they invited her to come back for a family barbecue 🥩. That’s the beauty of this job — you arrive as a stranger, and leave with an invitation to someone’s backyard.
On Saturday, July 5th, Veiko decided to spice things up by sending us a BookField bingo challenge, with a bunch of funny, slightly awkward tasks — the first to complete them all would win a lunch. One of them was singing the American national anthem 🇺🇸, and Kuba, ever the character, decided to do it using a map for dramatic effect. But then the mom he was with flipped the challenge on him:
“Only if you teach me the Polish anthem!”
So there he was, in the middle of Utah, teaching an American mom to sing “Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła.” If that’s not a wild internship story, what is?
Karolina had a moment of perfect BookField philosophy when she knocked on a door and found a guy proudly wearing a big “Hakuna Matata 🦁” T-shirt — which, by total coincidence (or maybe BookField magic), was our theme for the week.
We picked Hakuna Matata as our motto because it’s all about a stress-free philosophy, exactly what you need to build character out here. After all, one of our favorite self-talks is:
“We don’t take ourselves seriously. We take our job seriously.”
And nothing says that better than two Swahili words that remind you to keep smiling.
Bohdan had one of those classic rollercoaster experiences. He knocked on a door where the husband bluntly told him they weren’t interested and shooed him away. But then — plot twist — the wife came out. Turns out she was an ex-Senator from Washington 🇺🇸, and not only did she share a warm conversation, but sent Bohdan off with a Cinnabon and a glass of milk 🥯🥛. Who needs coffee when you’ve got BookField plot twists like this?
For Margo, the biggest highlight was hands down the 4th of July 🇺🇸🎇. There are no words that can really capture it — the parades, fireworks, flags everywhere, families laughing together, kids running around with glow sticks. Just scroll through our pictures and you’ll see it was pure small-town movie magic.
Artjom had a big practical win this week — he finally found a new HQ 🏠, this time not through a church or knocking, but through Facebook. Now he and Janek are happily settled in Cedar City, with a comfortable new place to sleep, cook, and share all those end-of-day laughs that keep us going.
And speaking of Janek — the family just got prouder, because our newest teammate Yannick also earned his Success Coin 🥇 this week. We’re so happy for you, buddy. Keep stacking those achievements.
But the absolute top highlight of the week was our Sunday meeting ❤️. We got to spend time with Michael, who sold books way back in 1976 📚, hustling for four summers straight. Now he’s the proud father of four successful businessmen and grandfather of nine.
He shared countless lessons, but the biggest takeaway was what Southwestern truly taught him:
“The people factor. Treat everyone with love, an open heart, stay kind, keep smiling — that’s what makes all the difference.”
Thank you, Michael, for pouring so much heart and wisdom into us. We left that meeting inspired, grateful, and reminded exactly why we keep knocking on that next door.

✨Minął już pierwszy miesiąc naszej pracy tutaj i z dumą możemy powiedzieć, że nabieramy coraz większej wprawy w tym, co robimy. Początki zawsze bywają wyzwaniem, ale z każdym dniem czujemy, że jesteśmy bardziej zgrani, pewniejsi siebie i skuteczniejsi. To naprawdę budujące obserwować, jak stajemy się coraz lepsi – jako zespół i jako jednostki.
✨Ostatnie dni przyniosły nam także ciekawe doświadczenie kulturowe – mieliśmy okazję zobaczyć, jak Amerykanie świętują 4. lipca! Było głośno, kolorowo i bardzo radośnie. Parady, fajerwerki, grille i wszechobecne flagi – wszystko to stworzyło wyjątkową atmosferę. To było coś zupełnie innego niż to, do czego jesteśmy przyzwyczajeni, ale właśnie takie chwile pokazują, jak inspirujące mogą być różnice międzykulturowe.
✨Dziś natomiast postawiliśmy na aktywny wypoczynek i wybraliśmy się w góry. Wspinaczka okazała się nie tylko świetnym sposobem na oderwanie się od codziennych obowiązków, ale też dała nam okazję do wspólnego spędzenia czasu. Widoki były absolutnie zachwycające – z jednej strony majestatyczne szczyty, z drugiej bezkresne przestrzenie i natura w swojej najczystszej formie. Tego typu chwile na długo zostają w pamięci.
✨Ten miesiąc to dopiero początek naszej przygody, ale już teraz czujemy, że będzie to coś, co zostanie z nami na długo. Praca, nowe doświadczenia i wspólne wyjścia sprawiają, że ten czas jest naprawdę wyjątkowy.
